I used to run from the paved roads and seek only the backwoods, that which was far from civilization. And then one day I realized that there’s not a single thing that man has not touched. Even the wild wilderness was decided to be preserved by man and sectioned off according to man-made ordinances . And so I started seeing the beauty and the artful, thoughtful creation of humanity, the paved roads curating pathways to nature’s treasures. Slivers carved between waterways and open pastures, lines skimming the cliffs of dramatic mountains, winding pathways switching back and forth through wild forests otherwise unseen by the curious eye. Travelers, both logical and whimsical have a home in the carefully chosen cracks within our maps.
