Before we buy a product,
whatever the compelling object may be, We analyze it. We hold it in our hands, run our fingers over every curve, turn it upside down see it from every angle. We notice, the subtle cracks it might contain. We notice, it's design the way it's painted, shaped, sculpted. We consider the thought behind it's evolution. We consider it's purpose, how will it serve us, is it functional, Can it be used in the way I want it to be used? And then we decide. Considering it's value, considering how it will be used considering it's flaws. We measure it up, is it worth the price I will pay? Can it function the way I need it to, despite it's flaws. We measure it up to our willingness to buy it. When we take it home, it is meant to be used in the way we decide, though we are fully aware that it's flaws could hinder it at some point, we accept this, because, we chose this object knowing full and well it's capabilities and it's lack of capabilities. ..... If we have been bought on the cross, purchased under the sacrifice of the Spirit then, we have been measured up Turned every which way, taken full notice of our qualities and all the scratches, chips and faults in our function That has already been taken into consideration. Our value was weighed, considering the cost, considering the buyers willingness to take a chance on us. He considered we were worth it. So, He took us home, cracks and all with a purpose in mind. We weren't meant for every function just the one our buyer decided for us. We have been measured up, considered as useful and valuable, and worth the purpose. .... So who are we? To measure our own selves up? Compare ourselves to humans bought for different purposes and functions. Who are we? To determine our own value Go through desperate means To have humans, bought just like us, tell us our value? Who are we? to say our incapabilities cancel out our functionality when our faults were considered, accepted and our purpose was determined anyway. Who are we? To pretend we paid our own price we suffered an undeserving death for those who refuse to see the buyer, the designers, the chooser of the clay we are? ...
